Hope!

I got this book from the Library today, called Hope for Families of Children with Cancer. It is really good, here is a quote from it that I really like.
Cancer is so limited.....
It cannot crippled love
It cannot shatter hope
It cannot erode faith
It cannot destroy peace
It cannot wipe out confidence
It cannot kill friendship
It cannot suppress memories
It cannot silence courage
It cannot invade the Soul
It cannot steal Eternal Life
It cannot conquer the Spirit
It cannot lessen the power of Resurrection.

I just thought this was a really awesome quote, no matter what happens down the road, there is still love, hope, family, friends, peace, and Heavenly Father.

That's a great quote! Some great words to live by. We will all get through this and Caitlin is going to be fine. I think we all need to start learning what she is trying to teach us, and that is to have hope and faith and trust in our Heavenly Father and to draw closer to Him.

I was talking to a good friend last night and I know with all my heart that I was prompted to give her a call. Her name is Katie and she has a daughter with Leukemia. We had a LONG talk about her experiences with this illness and the chemo treatments her daugther has been through. She has had to do treatments for 2 years and still has until March and she is doing great. She helped me feel a lot better about chemo. I asked her to call you. I beleive that it will help you to talk to someone who has a child with cancer. It's so good to have that support group. Katie can give you great insight and ideas. So expect a call from her today.

I know that Heavenly Father is not going to give you this trial and just leave you on your own. He will bless you with all the resources and angels you will need. I also believe that this test is not for Caitlin; it's for all of us. I also know that he will bless her through all of this and that He has angels watching over her.

Hi Erin, this is Melanie. I have talked with your dad about this a little bit and I want you to know that your family are in my thoughts and prayers. We sometimes ask ourselves why this is happening to us and if we have the faith and the trust in our Heavenly Father, He will get us through our trials and sufferings. I have learned that through my own family trials and I have had to rely on our Heavenly Father alot. There is alot of comfort in the scriptures too. Let me know if there is anything I can do.I will keep you in my prayers through all of this. Stay strong.

That's awesome. What a great quote. The hardest part of any trial is putting it totally in God's hands.
